چکیده
Abstract Intercropping of medicinal plants/legumes along with bio-fertilizer application is a relatively new sustainable practice for improving the yield and secondary metabolites production. Here, 2-years field experiment was performed to evaluate effects water deficit stress arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) (as bio-fertilizer) on nutrients concentration, dry matter yield, essential oil quantity quality thyme in intercropping soybean. Three irrigation levels, including (i) after depletion 20% (I 20 ) as non-stressed, 50% 50 moderate 80% 80 available severe were applied main factor. The sub-factor represented by different cropping patterns sole culture, replacement intercrop ratio 50:50 66:34 (soybean: thyme) third factor non-usage (control) usage AMF. According our results, under decreased 35 44% first year, 27 40% second year compared non-stressed plants, respectively. Also, macro- micro-nutrients leaves increased significantly maximum percentage achieved treated Under deficits, major constituents thymol, p -cymene ? -terpinene Generally, AMF may be proposed farmers an eco-friendly approach achieve desirable conditions.

Glomus mosseae Inoculation Improves the Root System Architecture, Photosynthetic Efficiency and Flavonoids Accumulation of Liquorice under Nutrient Stress
The poor quality and low productivity of cultivated liquorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) continues to put pressure on wild plant populations. As arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are known to support plant growth and in some cases even to enhance the accumulation of valuable molecules in the plant, the effect of Glomus mosseae on the growth and active ingredient contents was evaluated in liquorice plan...
متن کاملIntercropping corn with soybean, lupin and forages: yield component responses
Intercropping systems influence yield variables of the component crops, such as harvest index, hundred seed weight, number of reproductive organs and number of seeds, within each reproductive unit. Two experiments were carried out at each of two sites during 1993 and 1994. The first experiment investigated the effects of seeding soybean or lupin alone or in combination with one of three forages...
متن کاملInfluence of poultry manure and its biochar, Funneliformis mosseae and salinity stress on corn yield and micronutrients concentration
Direct use of poultry manure (PM) as an organic fertilizer in agriculture may cause environmental concerns; therefore, application of its biochar might be an effective solution. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to investigate the influence of PM and its biochar (PMB) (control, 1% and 2% PM (w/w), 1% and 2% (W/W) PMB) on the growth and micronutrients concentration of corn under salinity str...
متن کاملthe effect of vermicompost and mycorrhizal inoculation on grain yield and some physiological characteristics of soybean (glycine max l.) under water stress condition
introduction moisture limitation is considered as one of the important limiting factors in soybean growth. drought stress affects different aspects of soybean growth through making anatomical, physiological and biochemical changes (tarumingkeng & coto, 2003). under dry tension condition, there will be a disturbance in transmitting nutrients, but some useful soil fungi such as mycorrhiza improve...
